Cheer UP! the 'NITE CREW'

May 15, 2020 - St. Barnabus, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Chilton Medical Center, Valley Hospital, Hackensack Hospital, Clara Maas, Christ Hospital, Jersey City Medical Center and Mountainside Hospital got a surprise visit from Project CheerUP! Ambassadors for the inaugural CheerUP! The Nite Crew event.  Each group of ambassadors participated in this event and selflessly contributed to their own gift baskets along with their delivery to their assigned hospitals at 10pm in the evening. They were greeted by healthcare workers and first responders who graciously accepted their donations and commended them for their hard work.

April 25, 2020 - As Project CheerUP! enters its second month, the group's founders, Cedar Grove High School cheerleaders Mackenzie Jennings, Ava Cassilli, Alessia Velazquez and Sofia Cordaro, continue to build upon their mission of showing others that “some days you just have to create your own sparkle and shine.” Project CheerUP! Is a virtual and safe way to use cheerleading skills to provide a service to anyone in need of “cheering up” during the social distancing protocol in place due to COVID-19. Read more.
